Ramzy Ladah Interview: Las Vegas Childcare Facility Lawsuit

At Ladah Law Firm, we are committed to standing up for the most vulnerable members of our community — especially children.

When news of a disturbing incident involving alleged mistreatment at a Las Vegas childcare facility surfaced, attorney Ramzy Ladah was interviewed by 8 News Now to speak on behalf of the victim’s family and demand accountability.

We are proud to represent Kala Hall and her 9-year-old son Kody in their pursuit of answers and accountability from the local childcare facility in Las Vegas.

“This case isn’t just about Kody,” said attorney Ramzy Ladah. “It’s about making sure daycares properly care for children and don’t abuse them.”

What Happened to Kody the Childcare Facility?

On March 20, Kala Hall discovered something no parent should ever have to witness — her son Kody, who is on the autism spectrum, appeared to have his hands bound while in the care of the facility. Kody was reportedly found lying on his stomach, unresponsive, with his mouth open and head tilted.

Understandably shaken and seeking answers, Ms. Hall turned to Ladah Law Firm for help.

The Search for Truth

Ms. Hall requested to view surveillance footage from the facility, but her initial request was denied. Only after local media coverage did she gain access to the video — which still failed to show how Kody’s hands became bound. In the footage, Kody is seen isolated in a corner, out of view of the camera, while staff focus on other children. An employee can be seen using a cellphone during this time, raising further questions about supervision and accountability.

While Metro police concluded there was insufficient evidence to pursue criminal charges, Ladah Law Firm is moving forward with a civil lawsuit against the facility on grounds of negligence and punitive damages.

Ongoing Safety Concerns at Childcare Facilities

This incident is not isolated. State investigations into the local childcare facility have revealed a pattern of violations, including:

  • Lack of adequate supervision
  • Inappropriate behavior by staff
  • Insufficient food quality
  • Unscreened personnel in the building
  • Overcrowding and improper staff-to-child ratios
  • Reports of children biting one another

Despite these troubling findings, the facility continues to operate under a provisional license due to noncompliance with state law. The license is currently set to expire on April 30.

Why We’re Taking Legal Action

At Ladah Law Firm, we believe childcare providers must be held to the highest standards. When those standards are violated, families deserve answers — and justice.

Ramzy Ladah is working tirelessly to hold this facility accountable for its failures in protecting Kody and ensuring a safe environment for all children.
